We are always on the lookout for written and photographic contributions, and even ideas and suggestions. This can be a one-time thing or possibly a recurring gig. Below are a few guidelines. Read through them, and if you’re interested in sending something in, feel free to contact us at: contributions@theboisebeat.com.
DO:
- Make sure you have fact-checked your piece before sending it in. We will not publish it unless it is 100% truthful. The ethical and journalistic integrity of this website is crucial, and we guard it well.
- Send a picture with your story, if possible.
- Send us your press kit or album for a review!

DON’T:
- Do not send us an article about your band or your sister’s or friends’ band. They just may be the “next big thing,” but that opinion needs to come from someone not affiliated with the band.
- Deadlines are very important. No one wants to read about a concert that happened 3 weeks ago.
- Don’t tell us you will cover something, and then not turn it in. Not only does that suck for us, the subject of the story gets screwed out of it, too.
